Stepping out like “street camo” in the forest

Made to Crave

Day 19

Prior to this year, I owned one piece of camouflage clothing. Now I own several, from leggings to DST para.

All of the camouflage clothing I own has the same pattern, The same type you would find on the shelves of Walmart. I honestly thought all camouflage look like this.

That all changed a few days ago when I was chatting with one of my friends and sorority sisters, Tashee (she also made my camo DST shirt for me).

The other day as she was preparing to go hunt, we were talking about camouflage. She. was excited about a new piece of camo she purchased to hunt even sent me a picture of a couple of the pieces.

A soon as I opened the image, I was blown away by the detail (swipe to see).

The clothing looked exactly like the forest! Right down to the leaves, stems, grass, etc.

Even the colors were authentic!

What she was wearing was made specifically for hunting in the woods. The clothing is designed to make it possible for her to hide and blend in with her surroundings.

So of course I started to think about how we behave as “camouflage” in our daily lives. It is so easy to just blend in, go with the flow and not shake things up.

It is so easy to stay on OUR street, in OUR church, on OUR street and in our corner of the world.

But I believe God calls some of us to step out of our comfort zones and into our purpose.

I believe God wants us to behave like “Street camo” in the forest. He wants people to SEE our light and know RIGHT AWAY that we are Christians.

What is one way you can step out into your community like “street camo” today?
